I work very hard to always do what’s right rather than what’s expedient. I care about people and try to make their lives better, if I can. I don’t always succeed, but I really put all of myself into the attempt.
This is probably my Midwest showing, but the times when people take that moment to acknowledge that I’m doing more good than bad in the world mean so much to me.
This show, this moment, felt like the beginning of believing that I could be part of something larger and leave a positive impact upon it.

Isaac’s rules regarding our Mean Girls clique within the “It’s a Wonderful Life” cast took a sudden turn for the worse.

I crave connection with an audience, which is hard to do with a total of 10 minutes on stage and no time spent directly interacting with them.
What do I do about that? Well, I don’t know yet.
I do know that Defunkt Theatre’s production of “In the Forest She Grew Fangs” was pretty fantastic, though. I have some nitpicks and Katie brought up some interesting critiques of the narrative, but I was thoroughly moved and impressed.

Reading messages from 2011 as my old life crumbled on a night when my new life was so clearly going the way I wanted it to was oddly comforting. Rather than accessing the old hurts, I was putting them to bed.
