In the scene, I silently stare down the main character of the play and he backs down, looking away and letting me pass.
It feels like it could be a great moment of theater and I doubt I’ve ever been so uncomfortable onstage (which includes a career where I once pulled a knife on a blind woman).
This is the same coworker responsible for this fine moment.
And I’m not really going to explain it to you, either.
Sometimes breakups are big, ugly affairs that ruin friendships and alter lives forever. There’s back-stabbing and blame thrown around. Hurt feelings. Broken hearts.
Sometimes you handle it really maturely and carefully and come out really great friends on the other side.
It’s nice to be doing the latter for once.
