I’m still not quite used to the idea that I am a paid actor.
Though I guess they haven’t paid me yet, so technically I won’t be “paid” until the show is over in November.

Everything has started at once.
This fall I will be in my first show here in Portland and my first paid acting gig, ever. The show is 110 in the Shade for Stumptown Stages and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.
I don’t really believe in doing things expediently if you can do them correctly instead.
Or, I’m a stubborn idiot.
Your call, I guess.
This was a total Susanne Vega moment.
My day included going to the Rose City Comic Con (my first convention in a long, long time), seeing a movie I really loved (Frank), and other good times. Capping that off with a night time bike ride just made everything perfect.
I deserved this.
Tonight I saw il sogno del marinaio with LITE opening for them and had a predictably great time. I had no idea what I was walking into other than listening to one song and having faith in my date’s taste (she hasn’t steered me wrong before).
Mike Watt is best known for being the bass player for Minutmen and being an extremely entertaining showman. I have seriously barely captured how elastic his expressions were.
A good night.
I am ridiculous.
Maybe that’s what I should have called this comic from the beginning.
I’m not claiming that this is a reasonable reaction, it’s just the one I’m having.
I have returned to real life fully now. I wish I hadn’t had to.
